Message say ~15% hp is lost in the drive train, that's ~100hp.... some of it as fighting inertia, but also some of it as heat.... I would put my money on a tranny that runs hotter dying before a cooled tranny. Not only that but since the exhaust is right next to the tranny all that extra heat from a 670hp engine probably kills the oil's ability to lubricate. I think I want to put a transmission and differential external cooler on mine. I never really hear of these trannies going bad though, must've really been through hell. Don't mind me just thinking out loud :P
